High on Hemp?

As a partner and educator with Trichome Institute, people just assume that I smoke, dab, eat edibles, and basically get high everyday.  But, that's not the case.

I used to enjoy consuming marijuana for nearly twenty years, until one day my world got flipped upside down.  Suddenly, my wonderful high turned into crippling anxiety and paranoia.  I know, I know... " you just got to find the right strain, mannn".  I've  heard it all, I've tried it all.  No matter what, if I consume marijuana I turn into a complete wreck these days.

I also used to have hair and could eat anything without gaining weight or feeling swole the next day.  Things change as you get older!  I have a few hypotheses as to what caused this sudden change, but to sum it up, it's all about DNA.

As much as I used to enjoy edibles as a Cannabis Chef, there was nothing better than smoking a bowl or a joint.  I don't know if it's because that's how I started off back in the day, or if it's because I really enjoy the heat and smoke hitting the back of my throat.  Either way, it's a sensation that I missed and that's why I started smoking hemp.

Interestingly enough, hemp makes me feel high!  My tolerance to THC is SO LOW that the combination the little amount of THC in hemp, minor cannabinoids, and terpenes, actually give me a really nice buzz.  I'm not stoned or blazed out of my mind, but I get this awesome little high for 20-30 minutes after smoking a half gram hemp joint.

I miss getting high, a lot.  I miss lighting up a bowl after a long day of work or taking an edible and going to the zoo on my day off.  But I'm at least able to still enjoy the benefits of cannabinoids and terpenes from hemp, while getting a nice buzz at the same time.

So, if you're like me and your experience with marijuana took a drastic turn, you might want to try some hemp in it's place!
